Let's face it! Everyone loves a bargain and in Drummoyne is full of those, while offering the astute shopper spectacular views of the city.
The development of Birkenhead dates back to the early 1800's and the site has seen many things, including brick making and steeplechasing horse racing. It was the Dunlop Rubber Factory when the site was sold to David Jones Pty Ltd in 1976, and changed hands a number of times until 2004, when Jen Retail properties acquired the site and redeveloped as Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre.
Enough about history, you say! What can I spend my hard earned cash on? Pretty much everything. There's the best of top designer clothing, shoes and bags, surf wear and sunnies, and a fantastic David Jones Warehouse. The best thing is you can save up to 70% off regular retail prices!
There's Colorado, David Lawrence, Alannah Hill, Cue Clearance, Jigsaw, City Beach, Table Eight, Chloe Bags, Oroton, Crabtree & Evelyn to name but a few. The list is endless.
The ladies can have their nails done at Pearl Nails, their hair done at Daniela Severi Hair Salon, while the men chill out with a newspaper and a coffee at the food court.
You can refuel throughout the day on a great variety of eateries, including Ocean Star Seafoods, Subway, Cafe Birkenhead and sweeten up on Michels Patisserie and Donut King. There's even a Coles, Prime Quality Meats and The Wine Point which makes it easy to pick something up for dinner when you're all shopped out and it's time to go.
You can have your dry cleaning done and Oz Shine Car Wash will ensure you drive home in a sparkling car.
