Set your wings a flapping at Fringe World
With just a few weeks left of Fringe World, PICA have kicked off with a fresh bloom of plays for Summer Nights.

Birdboy is one not to be missed. Bought to send us into a flapping frenzy by eccentric, award winning theater makers The Wet Weather Ensemble, Birdboy is based on the true story of a seven year old Russian boy raised in his mother's tiny apartment come birdcage and treated as one of her flock.

Nameless lives with his mother One Hit Wander and her 100 feathered friends. By day, he takes his place in the pecking order but in the evening, as the birdhouse becomes Wanda's fluttering symphony, Nameless can fly free from the flock and discover what's beyond the menagerie.

A story about the power of imagination in all of us.

Birdboy is showing Mon 11 - Thurs 14 and Sat 16 February at PICA performance space. Tickets $25 or $20 concession available here.
