Bird Walks For Juniors

Birdlife Southern Queensland, a branch of the conservation organisation Birdlife Australia, extends 400 kms down the east coast of southern Queensland, from Maryborough to the NSW border, and west 1700 kms towards the border of NT, past Birdsville.
The group are actively involved in campaigns to protect threatened bird species and their environments.
As part of their information and education activities to introduce youngsters to the beauty of Australian birds in the wild, Birdlife SQ are running a Bird Walks for Juniors
Participants should be between 7 and 14 years old and need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the 2 hour duration of the walk.
The first walk will be held on Sunday 14th of February with another on Sunday 14th of March. Walks commence at 7am at Minnippi Parkland Lagoon in Tingalpa. The Junior birders will be walking along the concrete pathway and each will be provided with binoculars on the day.
