Binna Burra Lodge

Published December 27th 2010
Set against the natural beauty of Lamington National Park in the Gold Coast Hinterlands, Binna Burra Mountain Lodge and Campsite (Binna Burra Road, Beechmont) is a heritage listed lodge that makes a perfect base for exploration of the surrounding rainforest. The Lodge was the first Australian property to achieve international Green Globe Certification and was included in the Independent Travellers Top 10 Eco-Lodges and Green Hotels.

Binna Burra provides a selection of accommodation types. Rooms at The Lodge offer all the mod-cons in rustic style log cabins. Guests are offered mountain view or garden view rooms. The Rainforest Campsite boasts safari style tents that sleep two to six people and include beds, table and chairs, lighting and a private veranda with rainforest or Coomera Valley views. And Grooms Cottage, the former residence of Binna Burra co-founder Arthur Groom, is a four room bunkhouse with room for 36 guests.

Nearby attractions include Lamington National Park, the Binna Burra Mountain Drive, adventure activities like abseiling, rope courses and bush walks and the Rejoove Day Spa. The excitement of the Gold Coast is less than an hour's drive away.

Binna Burra also hosts school groups and corporate conferences, and is a popular wedding venue.
