Billykart Provisions is an extension of Billykart Restaurant & Bar in West End that is owned and operated by Chef, Ben O'Donoghue and business partner, Ben Roberts.
It doubles as additional supply space for the popular restaurant while allowing you to purchase the ingredients to recreate Billykart at home. The deli stocks specialty deli items along with jams, sauces and preserves used by the restaurant.
I stood and stared at the wide range of products for an embarrassing amount of time. It's a great concept. I mean have you ever wanted to take home Billykart's lemon curd or finocchiona salami? Or perhaps you enjoyed the Persian fetta or after a small taste you suddenly realised that you need some more banana jam in your life.
Can we all agree that a perfect way to spend any afternoon or night is with good wine and a cheese and charcuterie platter! At Billykart Provisions I feel like the sky is the limit. You can sit, eat and drink until your heart is content or quite possibly pop a button, or you can pick up a selection of cheeses, salami, and a loaf of fresh bread on your way home. It's really West End's new one stop shop to gourmet entertaining. Don't forget to pick up a few bottles of wine or artisan beers!
There are a selection of cakes, homemade muffins, chocolate eclairs, Portuguese custard tarts, salads and gourmet sandwiches … need I go on? If you like Billykarts Apricot & Coconut cheesecake you can buy the Apricot Jam they use to make it.
They have a line of 'De Brew' which I think I am going to particular enjoy during the cooler seasons. Curry anyone?
