I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Billy the cowboy hamster and friends (Facebook image)
The animated
Billy The Cowboy Hamster from Belgium/Netherlands is based on a series of well-loved children's books and is screening in English as six eleven-minute episodes. Billy is a Western-loving hamster who loves dressing as a cowboy and going on adventures with his best friends, a worm called Jean-Claude and Suzie, a stone marten (a mammal similar to a weasel). I found this to be a lovely gentle story suitable for children much younger than the suggested 6 years and over.

A bear and his dad (Facebook image)
Hug Me - The Movie is a delightful story about a little bear (Teddy) and his overprotective and loving father. The 70-minute animated feature from China & Poland is in English with cute and colourful characters. Papa Bear and Teddy Bear leave the safety and comfort of their home to search for honey in the
Golden Land so that Teddy can have a special birthday cake. Their wonderful adventure results in more than just honey as they learn to trust more in each other.
