On Tuesday 3rd September, celebrated Anglo-American author Bill Bryson returns down under with a brand new stage show - Observations on Life and the Human Body. Tickets are now on sale for this one-night event at PCEC - Riverside Theatre.

Best known for his wickedly sassy travel books, Bill Bryson undertook the gigantean task of providing a layman's take on science in the best-selling A Short History of Nearly Everything. Now, Bryson present's his all-new endeavour - the soon-to-be-released tome The Body; A Guide for Occupants.

For the past three years, Bryson has taken a good long look at the human body. "We spend our whole lives in one body and yet most of us have practically no idea how it works and what goes on inside it. The idea is simply to try to understand the extraordinary contraption that is us. What I learned is that we are infinitely more complex and wondrous, and often more mysterious, than I had ever suspected. There really is no story more amazing than the story of us" Bryson said.

Admired for his matchless homing instinct for the funniest and quirkiest, and unerring eye for the idiotic, the endearing, the ridiculous and the scandalous, Bryson is set to delight Perth audiences with Observations on Life and the Human Body.

The show will see Bryson exercise his razor-sharp wit as he shares his globe-trotting travel experiences and forays into science and the human body alongside host Julia Zemiro.

Zemiro is a French-born Australian television presenter, radio host, actress, singer, writer and comedian, who is best known as the host of the musical quiz RocKwiz, co-host of the ABC's Star Gazing Live with Professor Brian Cox and for her own show for the ABC, Julia Zemiro's Home Delivery.

Tickets are now on sale through Ticketek and priced from $96.85.
