Bill Bell Park playground is located at the corner of Jacaranda Avenue and Casuarina Drive, opposite from Nightcliff Beach. Surrounded by big trees, this playground has a lot of natural shade, making it a good place to play even in the hot weather of Darwin.

With colourful sail shade above and sandy ground, this playground offers play equipment mostly for bigger children. There is one toddler swing, but little one will need the assistance of their carer to play with other equipment. Climbing frames, slippery slides, round-about are some play equipment provided here.

You can run around the Bill Bell Park or set up some backyard games as there is plenty of room here to burn your children's energy as well as yourself. When you finished playing at the playground, you can go across the street and have a stroll at Nightcliff beach.

Bill Bell Park named after William (Bill) Bell who first came to the Territory in 1950, settling in Nightcliff. In 1953, Bill built the garage and workshop known as Nightcliff Motors. He put a lot of work to support community activities in the Nightcliff area and helped build the Community Centre and the Nightcliff Scout Hall. You can witness his extensive collection of militaria and restored historical vehicles that acquired by the NT Museum in 1990.

is managed by Darwin City Council and you can ring them on telephone number (08) 8930 0300 for any queries.
