If you're not afraid of working up a sweat, consider trying Bikram Yoga.
What is Bikram Yoga?
Basically, Bikram Yoga, aka "hot yoga", is yoga performed in a hot room. The room is usually 40 degrees Celsius with 40% humidity. The heat is said to result in deeper stretching and accelerate the benefits of yoga. These benefits are extensive and include improved metabolism, increased flexibility, better sleep, a strengthened immune system, not to mention toning and improving posture.
Bikram Yoga is for anyone - any age, size and fitness level so don't be put off if you've never tried it before or aren't exactly a fitness junkie.
Bikram Yoga usually runs for about 90 minutes and consists of 26 different postures known as Asanas and two different breathing exercises.
Prices vary and are usually cheaper the more classes you buy but expect to pay around $20 for one class. Most places offer packages of a set number of classes and unlimited classes for a set amount of time (ten days, monthly, yearly, etc).
If you've tried Bikram Yoga before and know of a good place to go, feel free to recommend it in the comments box below.
www.bikramnorthwest.com.au at West Pennant Hills, spent many hours sweating it out there (its not as bad as it sounds, really). Health benefits are worth the time/money invested.

I go to Pure Bikram Yoga in Bondi Junction, they also have a studio in Maroubra. Their studios are beautiful and well run, it is truly the best way to de-stress, lose some weight if needed, tone up and over all you will just feel amazing.
