Bijouxbug Art is a series of interactive school holiday art and craft classes for boys and girls.
The upcoming October school holiday programme has just been unveiled and will be taught at the Carnaby Room at Moerlina School (16 Brockway Rd Mt Claremont). All three classes will be held on Friday 10th October 2014 and facilitated by Grace Ah-quee, a senior craft tutor.
Children can choose to participate in one or all three classes:
Creative Painting Boxes: In this workshop, boys and girls will paint and line boxes with coloured felts. Children are encouraged to be creative and will take inspiration from the natural world. The class will run from 9am - 10.30am and is ideal for children aged 5 to 12 years.
Plate Painting: In this workshop boys and girls will paint with air dry porcelain paint. This is a great class for children who love colour and they will be encouraged to paint any design of their choosing. The class will run from 11am - 12.30pm and is ideal for children aged 5 to 12 years.
Jewellery for Boys and Girls: In this workshop, boys and girls will learn how to make glass bead jewellery. The children will make fun braided bracelets and earrings using knotting and basic wire skills. The class will run from 1pm - 2.30pm and is ideal for children aged 6 to 12 years.
All classes are 'drop and go' and morning tea is provided (juice, fruit and biscuits). If a child is attending the whole day, lunch should be brought along. A break will be taken between each class, allowing children to enjoy a refreshment and some fresh air.
The participation fee for each course is $35 and all materials are supplied. A discounted cost is available for combined classes and siblings.
Enrolment is now open and places are limited.
