Arts Centre Melbourne (100 St Kilda Rd, Melbourne) is bringing Big World, Up Close, to your doorstep. Watch out for powerhouse performances that are raw, honest, political, poetic and revolutionary.

TAHA leads the series from 10-14 July at the State Theatre. Palestinian writer-performer Amel Hlehel weaves the life journey and poetry of renown poet Taha Muhammed Ali who from humble beginnings became a renown Palestinian writer against all odds. A Q&A with Amer follows the performance on Wed 11 July 2018

Australia's own singer-songwriter Mojo Julu brings you the stories and inspirations behind her album, Native Tongue from 8-11 August 2018 at the Fairfax Studio. Raw and honest, it's intrinsically political and filled with emotion. This is a story of self-discovery through music that stitches together the traditional, contemporary and future culture. Be entertained by the house band that includes Mojo's brother, along with other guest artists on the night.

The Fall comes to you fresh from its huge success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, from 28 Aug - 2 Sep 2018 at the Fairfax Studio. Seeking to open wide discrimination in all forms, seven students involved in the 2015 student revolution of the University of Cape Town that rocked South Africa, have written and will perform this collaborative piece of theatre.

Compelling, stirring and intimate, be sure you don't miss any of these incredible stories in a season of works that explore identity, place, community, power and human rights. Art that matters in Big World Up Close. Buy a 2 show or 3 show package and save.
