Inside/Out Street Shopping plus the Art & Artisan Market
The annual Beaufort Street Festival is no more but Mt Lawley's main drag still offers plenty of action with a series of smaller community festivals popping up throughout the year. The weekend of 30 April - 1 May is a great example with not one but two events happening. Inside Out will bring some of the best of Beaufort Street shopping out to the street. On Sunday the Art/Artisan Market adds to the buzz with a showcase of local artists, designers and craftspeople.
On Saturday and Sunday, local businesses will convert the footpaths on Beaufort between Brisbane Street and Salisbury Street into an open air marketplace. There will be merchandise for sale, music, pop up performers and more as the area is transformed into Perth's first street-long outdoor shopping experience. In addition all the usual alfresco cafes, bars and restaurants will be open, making it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll with family, friends and even the fur kid.

The Beaufort Street Art Market began in 2014 and has grown into a popular event held on the first Sunday of the month. Currently going through a revamp and soon to be known as the Artisan Market, organisers continue to ensure that the market offers quality art and craft from local designers and producers.
The market fills the Barlee Street carpark with a variety of displays. The fences become a gallery where artists can hang their work. The Suitcase zone hosts a great variety of smaller goods while the artisan stalls offer a diverse selection of locally made products. All stallholders must display West Australian designed and produced products only, making this a great opportunity to support homegrown talent.
