I'm a grandmother, a retired teacher, an avid reader who loves historical re-enactment, English Country Dance, writing and Op Shopping. My business www.StepIntoHistory.com.au is designed to help children experience history through school incursions.
Are you a fan of recycling? If so, you must check out Big Vintage.

Full of funky furniture.
The business is a long term dream come true for Pat and Sally Lynch who are passionate about reusing and recycling and also about ethical production. Pat buys and sells reclaimed, recycled and industrial furniture and homewares. Some stock is from India and Sri Lanka, some is local.
All of it is cool and funky.

Pat is passionate about his business.
As well as the warehouse at Salisbury (which is open to the public), they are at Boundary St Markets at West End and are Online.
Pat is really approachable and is happy to give you the tour of the warehouse. If you have something particular in mind, talk to him. New containers are arriving all the time and he will even make tables to order.

Check out these chairs.
Sign up for their mailing list so you can keep up to date. The really funky stuff sells fast and may never come up again.

Lots of Indian and Sri Lankan goodies.

Useful looking lockers.
Opening a cafe or bar? They can help you with fit-outs.
Sally is a chef and gives regular cooking demos and classes at the warehouse. She also has a catering business.
AND that's not all. There is also a cafe in the warehouse. So while you are pondering which of their fabulous wares will best suit your place, you can have a coffee and a chat as you decide.

Have a coffee while you decide.
Please note there are two dachshunds helping out (guarding?) the store. The little black one, Cyril, is friendly and happy to chat. The older brown dog, Snags is more reserved and appreciates being given some space to check you out.
