After sell-out events in 2012 and 2013, Sugar Blue Burlesque and Circus Joseph Ashton have teamed up for another flirtatious fusion of burlesque and circus, Big Top Tease. It's on at Langley Park for two nights only - January 31 and Feb 1 - and if you haven't seen this show yet, it's time you did!



Perth-onality and ringmaster Magnus Danger Magnus will lure you into an alternate world where carnies and burlesque dancers wow and seduce with acts ranging from the death-defying to the jaw-dropping. Magnus Danger Magnus talks a mile a minute and knows how to get a crowd excited ... and that's before the burlesque dancers strut their stuff.

This year, burlesque performers including Betsy Rose (London), Bella de Jac, Danica Lee, Becky Lou, Clara Cupcakes, Miss Jane and Cecile Mimieux will tantalise audiences as they perform eye-popping striptease (tease being the operative word) and vaudevillian antics. I've seen the Sugar Blue Burlesque girls at the annual Perth International Burlesque Festival and they know how to work the crowd ... Yes, it's cheeky and saucy, but if you can handle that and you like a laugh, then it's worth the blush.



As if that wasn't enough sizzle, circus performers will take to the Wheel of Death, the flying trapeze and more, showcasing their incredible acrobatic prowess and giving audiences more than a few breath-holding moments. The Wheel of Death makes me shiver every time!

To get in the spirit of the tease, audience members are encouraged to dress up circus or burlesque style - there will be prizes for best dressed, so frock up! Who knows, you might even get inspired to take some burlesque classes yourself - you can find out more about them here .

Big Top Tease is an 18-plus event and starts at 7.30pm. Buy tickets here . They cost $35 plus booking fee presale and $45 at the door, but it's best to book ahead. You don't want to miss out.
