I'm no longer involved with Weekend Notes. It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Still hot for 'Frozen'? Watch it under the big top
Frozen, Let it Go, Big Top Cinema
Big Top Cinema Presents 'Frozen'

If you're a parent, chances are you've heard of the movie 'Frozen', seen it half a dozen times, and know all the lyrics to "Let It Go" - whether you want to or not.

There is no doubting the popularity of this computer animated, musical fantasy/comedy. It accumulated, at last count, just on 1.3 BILLION dollars in worldwide cinema ticket sales making it the fifth highest grossing film of all time, and won two Academy Awards.

If you and your children aren't 'Frozened' out yet, then you might want to take an opportunity to see this beautiful film under a big top tent, outdoors, with hundreds of other fans.

In an interesting twist, adults get in for free - though tickets for children are $15 each, which includes the movie, lunch and drinks.

The day also includes a variety of free children's activities.

As a parent, you'll be provided with a 'chill out zone' where you can watch your children sing "Let It Go" until their hearts are content, while you relax for some sometimes rare adult conversation.

This activity is being provided by the always amazing Our Village Foundation and the wonderful child care franchise, Sesame Lane.

The film and associated activities run from November 1 through to November 8 on the Dolphins Oval at the Redcliffe Leagues Club from 10am to 2pm daily.

As with all Our Village Foundation events, proceeds go to a number of charities throughout the Moreton Bay Region.

Big Top Cinema Presents Frozen' is part of the Foundation's 'Big Top' family entertainment series running throughout late October and early November.

For more information on this or the other 'Big Top' events, contact the Our Village Foundation on 07 3883 0955.

If you'd like to learn more about the Foundation and their work, visit them online here - or drop in and chat to them at 8 Snook Street in Clontarf on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula.

If you'd like to find information on Sesame Lane you can do that right here.

Bring a chair, bean bag or blanket so you can snuggle down and enjoy the film and get lost in your child-self as you begrudgingly (though deep down, lovingly) sing that song along with Queen Elsa - just like this dad and his daughter do in this way too cute YouTube video which has already had over 2.2 million hits.
