So winter is in full swing and for golfers in the southern states and that means wet and often muddy fairways, wet socks, slippery grips and the inevitable runny nose.

But believe it or not a cold & wet Melbourne winter might be the best thing that ever happened to your golf swing. Just thinking about a cold, wet and windy course might be all the motivation you need to head on down to for some practice and perhaps coaching in their state-of-the-art- full swing simulators.

Whether you're a newbie at the sport or a totally addicted golf tragic, improvement in the game is always possible for all of us. Isn't that what keeps us coming back week after week?

Just as airline pilots use simulators to hone their skills 's simulators are a great practice and teaching tool which allows golfers of all levels of experience to not only hit the ball further and straighter than ever before but to establish routines which will undoubtedly bring greater consistency to their game.

Each centre has qualified coaches on hand whose brief is to help you take your game to the next level. There are also weekly competitions which allow participants to play some of the world's great courses and take home prizes for their efforts.

If you don't have a Golf Australia Handicap it's no problem, Big Swing staff will handicap you on-site.

Perfect for work or other social functions, a round of indoor golf takes about half the time you need out on the course. You'll never need an umbrella or wet weather gear and you'll never lose a ball.

simulator centres are available in Melbourne City at 126 – 130 Franklin Street, in Preston at 105-109 Bell Street, Kew at 320 High Street and Traralgon at 86-88 Hotham Street.

Cost is 1-Player $15 for 30 minutes (First 30 mins $20), 2-Players $20 for 30 minutes (First 30 mins $25), 3-Players $25 for 30 minutes (First 30 mins $30), 4 -Players $30 for 30 Minutes (first 30 mins $35).

Widescreen option $5 extra per half hour in all categories.
