If you are a guy who enjoys hanging out with your mates over a BBQ and listening to people's points of view, the Big Shed Happens is the place for you and your mates to be this October.
Also known as Men's Shed, Shed Night and Shed Happens, the Big Shed Happens event is all this and more. For a full day, you can spend time with your friends, enjoy a fully provided BBQ meal, and listen to some inspirational stories from blokes such as Duncan Armstrong (world swimming champion), Simon Black (AFL legend), Peter Janetzki (Radio host – 96.5 FM), Mike Jeffs (CEO of ACC), and many more. The Big Shed Happens event only occurs once a year, so visit the website to register today.
This great event started as a result of shed nights that happened all around the country, where blokes hang out, connect and just discuss the issues of life over a meal.
The Big Shed Happens is a growing event that has experienced success in the past, and is supported by men such as the CEO of SU and the 2011 Australian of the Year, Simon McKeon. Men from all over Australia will be attending this once-in-a-year event, so don't miss out and bring your mates for a great day out. So bring your mates and head to the Big Shed Happens event – for all men and boys from all over Australia.
Also note that 'shed nights' happen on a regular basis all over the country, so if you are interested in joining or attending the nearest one near you, just speak to one of the guys at the Big Shed Happens event (or see the list of shed nights coming up through the website's event page) and they should be able to help you out. The website is full of information that will assist you, should you attend Big Shed Happens or if you are interested in becoming a member. If the latter, just visit the website to sign up and create your own page, link with other members, and just join the nearest shed near you).
It's a great place to be where there is a "comfort in knowing there is a bunch of real blokes to either call upon, hang out with, or just know they are there should you ever need them. You're never judged." For more information, please visit the website.
The program for the day also includes some fun activities, such as a Tug-O-War, hot rod racing cars, and of course, morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch are all provided. Cost is just $50 (or $15 for boys 15 years of age or under) and you can register online. Alternatively, you can just turn up on the day and pay $55 at the door. For more information, please visit the website or call 0412 722 455.
For those who are interested, there are also several 'women sheds' that have sprung up all over Australia as an addition to men's shed, and these meet regularly. So if you are not a guy but would still like to meet up with like minded women over a meal and connect, please visit the contact page of the website and enquire online.
