In mid-January when the international cricket season begins to wane the attention of all sports-loving Aussies turns to tennis. In Brisbane our very own Brisbane International has just finished another successful year, but Australian tennis' pride and joy has always been the Australian Open, and it's in Melbourne. So we're struck watching all the action on the telly, right? Wrong! This year, you can catch all the action of the Australian Open finals weekend on the biggest screen in the southern hemisphere, right here in Brisbane, and there's a garden party thrown in for good measure.

A garden party mixed with tennis? How very Wimbledon. There'll be Pimms on the lawn while you find the perfect spot to enjoy every serve, ace, volley, baseline duel, down-the-line winner or overhead smash of the women's and men's singles finals, along with the men's doubles and mixed doubles finals, too. And, if that's not enough action for you, you can also participate in lawn games (think croquet, giant Jenga, and bocci), savour gourmet food, and enjoy DJ entertainment on the public lawn.

There's something about that fruity flavour that makes Pimms the essential summer tipple and you can purchase yours from the Pimms cart, or if Pimms is not your poison then there will be other refreshments available from a number of pop-up bars.
