Perhaps one of the most iconic attractions at Gumeracha, The Big Rocking Horse is a complex that not only houses a wooden toy factory and store but also a cafe and wildlife park. The giant rocking horse which the complex is iconic for was built over a period of eight months before it was opened to the public in 1981.

Befitting a place functioning as a wooden toy factory, the store retails various wooden products, which consist of not just toys but also furniture and wooden puzzles. Most of their larger items are retailed as kits to be assembled at home but can also be purchased already assembled and treated. Customers may also have the opportunity to have a brief glance at the products being made on site.

For a small cost of $2, visitors are able to climb the Big Rocking Horse itself, receiving a certificate of completion if they succeed in reaching the top. As ascending to the top viewing platform requires climbing a series of steel ladders, those who choose to bring their children must supervise them at all times.

If you prefer something less nerve-wrecking, there is the animal park where visitors can admire various animals, which include kangaroos, peacocks, alpacas, goats and various types of birds. If they wish to, visitors can also purchase special animal feed to feed the animals.

Also present at the site is a small cafe offering cafe-style food which can be enjoyed at the picnic area if you desire. Entry into the site is free so feel free to drop by anytime if you are looking for a good place to entertain the kids while at Gumeracha.
