The old faithful Sunshine Coast tourist attraction will play host to some pretty big bands in May. The inaugural event in 2013 had its ups and downs, but it sounds like organisers have learned from their mistakes. One of the biggest flaws was the line up for the drink tickets, and then the drinks! Local media even took to calling it the 'Big Line-Apple Festival', a tag I'm sure organisers are hoping to avoid this year.
The Living End's just one of the many major acts to play at the Big Pineapple Music Festival.
The 2013 event sold out and for good reason. If you're not quick enough 2014 could be very similar. In addition to the aforementioned acts, prepare your ears for Violent Soho, Alison Wonderland, Peking Duk, Funkoars and many, many more. Sounds like a lot, but they'll be spread out across three stages so there will be plenty of room.
The rocking crowd from the 2013 event.
If you're keen to make a full weekend out of it - then consider camping. It's just over the road from the main site. For the 2014 event organisers have doubled the amount of camping space available due to selling out the year prior. The sites will have power options and a couple of showers. You can stay from Friday night until 10am Sunday.
