There Are No Little Lies
Big Little Lies is the second book by Liane Moriarty that I've read. First one was The Husband's Secret. After finishing 'Secret' I did not think I would read another one by Moriarty. The book was a bit too deep and too rough-edged for me. There was no happy ending, really. There was no resolution of good against evil.

However, after seeing an ad for US-made TV Series based on the book, I've decided to give the book a go.

Here is preface of the book from the author's website.
Pirriwee Public is a beautiful little beachside primary school where children are taught that 'sharing is caring.' So how has the annual School Trivia Night ended in full-blown riot? Sirens are wailing. People are screaming. The principal is mortified.
And one parent is dead.
Was it a murder, a tragic accident or just good parents gone bad? As the parents at Pirriwee Public are about to discover, sometimes it's the little lies that turn out to be the most lethal…
Big Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, school-yard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.
To tell you the truth, I picked up 'Lies' because I saw Reese Witherspoon in the trailer for the series. I love this actress. She can do no wrong for me. However, I will reserve my judgement for now.
The TV series are going to make a comedy out of a 'very close to my heart' drama.
'Lies' is about friendships, loyalty, envy, jealousy, betrayal, cruelty, more cruelty in a form of... well, domestic violence and more cruelty yet again. 'Lies' is about how lies take over our lives.
One day it starts small and then snowballs into something horrible and horrid, into something we have no control over. It suffocates us and turns on us. Our lies destroy us at the end. This end comes sooner for some people than others.
The book is hitting so many strokes and pushes even more buttons. It can be read by women and man alike. There are truths about marriage and relationships, parenting and dating. Moreover, there are some eternal truths about everything coming at a price.
There are no little lies. There are lies and our way of dealing with them.
