The Big Fun Fair is a major fundraiser for Black Rock Primary School. Though with all the fun to be had, you'd be forgiven for hardly noticing it was a fundraiser. Have a good time whilst contributing to establishing safe playing spaces for the development of the young children at this school. Entry is by gold coin donation and the event is at 71 Arkaringa Crescent, Black Rock on Saturday 13 October 2018 from 10am to 5pm. Gold coin donors receive 1 Lucky Door Prize Raffle Ticket per $1 donated.
Enter through Gate 1 from Arkaringa Crescent near the corner of Links Street, or through Gate 2, corner of Ferguson Street and Bayview Crescent. There is no entry from the oval off Cheltenham Road. If you're local, walking or public transport is a better option as there's no parking at the school, and only limited parking is available in the residential streets around the school. For more details, check the FAQs of the Fair.
F45 Training Highett will talk about the importance of health and fitness and have an interactive demo for anyone who'd like to participate. They'll be handing out 200 x 2 week passes to F45 for a gold coin donation and they're donating a 3-month exclusive membership worth $795 which is available for you to bid on at the Silent Auction Stall.
The Royal Victoria Regiment C Company, the Police Squad, the SES State Emergency Services, the Black Rock Life Saving Club , the Moorabbin Fire Department, demonstrations, martial arts, Fairy Deb, soak the teacher, sideshows, coin toss, test your skill, footy handball competition (great prizes to be won in the search for BRPS's first premiers) and so much more to amuse 3-year-olds to adults. There's plenty happening, so be sure to check the schedule for timeframes. The Facebook page is also great for a running narrative and updates.
