In the relatively short time that they've been operating, Big Fork Theatre have made a big splash in Brisbane's comedy & improv scene. Founded by some of the city's most talented and ambitious improvisers, their style takes more from American sources such as The Second City than ImproMafia's Keith Johnstone faithful approach.

The result has been a series of genre boundary pushing events that have brought something entirely new to the scene and audiences have been responding. After selling out monthly shows at the Paddington Substation for over a year, Big Fork Theatre's move to weekly shows will surely blow the lid off the suburb's best-kept secret.

From internationally trained improvisers to special guests from the Australian comedy scene, Big Fork Theatre boasts a dynamic cast of talented performers. Part of the thrill comes from an ever revolving cast that means that no two shows are alike and the humour never gets stale.

brings together the company's regular shows and gives them a fixed weekly schedule so you'll know the best way to start your weekends. It includes their hugely popular improvised storytelling show Cool Story Bro where special guest storytellers tell real life stories to inspire hilarious improvised scenes. It's a format which sounds bananas written down, but has been tried and tested on audiences around the world and comes together like nothing you've seen before on stage. Add in a whole heap of new and exciting formats and one-off specials and you've got yourself something special.

They won the Anywhere Award for their improvised show in the 2017 Anywhere Theatre Festival, which saw them trying yet more new formats and locations to break the fourth wall and create an immersive experience for everyone involved. There's a genuine excitement in what they do and the shows that they put on which creates massive FOMO if you're not in the audience.

launches with the Bris Funny Fest on Friday 4th of August. If you're wondering when the one after that is, the clue's in the title.
