Adelaide get ready for the Big family Weekend on May 23rd and 24th, as part of the Come Out Festival 2015. The Big Family Weekend will take over Adelaide Festival Centre and surrounds with a host of FREE activities. The Festival Centre is a great all weather venue. Sessions of activities will run regularly on both days from 10am to 3pm.



Free events include:
Free Popeye and Paddleboat rides on the Torrens. Live performances on theoutdoor stage under the Terrace at the Festival Centre (including a Frozen sing-a-long!) Or try some circus activities with the Cirkidz workshops.



Plus get creative with craft and dance workshops, explore Cardboard Cubby Town , listen to a Robot telling stories, dance at the Silent Disco and listen to stories and meet famous Australian authors in the Little Tent of Stories.



So many fun activities for everyone. There will also be family-friendly backstage tours, a hands-on Nature Play tent. The 891 ABC Adelaide's Peter Goers will present a live and interactive stage version of his popular Thursday night Kids Quiz.


Make your mark on the giant finger painting.
This will be an attempt to break a world record for the most people contributing to a painting. Along with Jellybeanstreet there will be an attempt to break the world record for the 'most contributions to a painting by numbers' at the Big Family Weekend. Children can add their fingerprint to the painting that will be transformed into Jellybeanstreet modern art and sold online. 100% of the profits donated to the Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation. This will be one historic painting. Register your kids online here
Registration will also be available on the day.



As a special deal for just $8 a ticket, you can take in a selection of films at the Little Big Shots International Film Festival for Kids at the Mercury Cinema. There's also a number of world-class ticketed performances. Shows include The 26-Storey Tree House, Argus, Masquerade. Full details of the Big Family Weekend available here
