Big Cake Bake! Bake the World a Better Place.


Everyone who knows how to turn on an oven, hold a spatula and whip up a delicious cake can get behind this Australian wide fundraiser for vulnerable families in our communities.

I challenge all Weekend Notes readers, writers and editors to pull out your favourite recipe, flick through your cookbooks, dust off grandmas recipe file or nip down to the supermarket and grab Betty Crocker cake mix and start baking; and that includes you too Natasha .



This is such a fantastic, fun event for a great cause run by Red Cross and so easy. You don't even have to think of what to do or how to go about it as is outlined in the Big Cake Bake website .

Life is filled with many ups and downs and we never know when our own circumstances may change through a variety of unforeseen reasons. We can't judge; all we can do to is help others who are in need at a moment in their lives. As they saying goes, walk a mile in their shoes.
