The first question that comes to mind is why didn't anyone think of this sooner? A burger festival. A celebration of all the countless number and varieties of hamburgers all in one place for your tasting pleasure. Needless to say, plenty of people agreed, over 5,000 of them in fact. That was the size of the crowd who turned out for the first Hank Marvin Big Burger Biannual back in October. This time it's anyone's guess how many will turn out.
For the assembly of some of the finest burger vendors in Melbourne, head to Alma Park in St Kilda East on Monday 13th March 2017 (Labour Day public holiday) between 11am and 10pm.
Some of the fifteen food vendors will include St Burgs, Fancy Hank's, The Little Mushroom co (Vegetarian & Vegan), The Kraken Squid (Seafood), The Real Jerk Food Truck, Burn City Smokers, Brother Burger and the Marvellous Brew and The Canine Wellness Kitchen serving up burgers especially for the canine component of the family.
With so many to choose from, it may be difficult to select just one, and every different taste and food related requirement will be met on the day with vegetarian, Paleo, vegan and gluten free options on offer.
Drinks and desserts will be onsite too served by the likes of Stomping Ground Brewing Co, Alpen Delicious Pty Ltd (Whoopies Cookies), Pop-Up Crepes, Chuski, Cool Delights on Bay and plenty more.
Not just an outdoor dining experience, this festival also includes DJ played music, competitions, giveaways, foosball, face painting and more.
There is a competition element to this event and one lucky patron can win the opportunity to be part of the judging panel.
