All-ages festival of riding

Get your friends and family together on Sunday 23 September 2018 and join Big Bike Day.

This FREE jam-packed annual celebration welcomes keen, casual and new bike riders of all ages. You don't need a bike to join in. Held from 11am, the festival takes place in War Memorial Park, Leichhardt, on the corner of Catherine and Moore Streets.

Throughout the afternoon there will be heaps of interactive activities to enjoy!

Check out some of the 2018 highlights below:

  • Indulge in FREE ice cream, bicycle-powered smoothies and coffee.

  • Have a go at FREE rock climbing, face painting, bicycle decorating and unicycle rides.

  • Join a bike ride at 11.30am along some of the Inner West's bike paths chaperoned by bike police.

  • Take part in a FREE bike skills workshop no experience required.

  • Get a FREE bicycle maintenance check.

  • FREE try-a-bike with local bicycle stores.

  • Don't have a bike? Engage with talks by riders from all walks of life.

    Big Bike Day is part of NSW Bike Week, supported by Transport for NSW.

    This is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy Inner West's bike paths on a lovely spring afternoon!
