Bicentennial park , located near Sydney Olympic park on the shores of Homebush Bay consists of 40 hectares of lush green land, playgrounds and walking paths.

The park has multiple entrances and abundant parking spaces. The Rhodes entrance and parking lot is convenient for walkers and cyclists. The other entrances are from Australia avenue and Bennelong Park road.

The park was originally a rubbish dump and in 1988, a huge project was undertaken to transform the land into a recreational park. It features cycling and walking tracks, playgrounds, BBQ areas, mangrove forests, outdoor venue hire, all in its 40 hectare property.

Some of the highlights of the park are the water play area and the splashing fountains.

The Badu Mangrove forests offers walking trails and scenic views of Homebush Bay and shipwrecks. There are riverside wetlands and colourful birds including pelicans that are found here. The timber boardwalk within the Mangrove forests is one of the best ways to discover this area.

The park also features a function venue, Waterview , near Lake Belvedere.

Summer time activities at Bicentennial park are popular among kids, adults and families alike. This summer some of the activities/events that are on include Treillage Viewing Platform , Kites and Cake , Cookies and Craft at Lilies and Wetlands and Woodlands .
