Situated on scenic foreshore of Rozelle Bay, #bicent ">Bicentennial Park is part of the Glebe Foreshore Parks and is popular among joggers and dog walkers. You may wonder what makes this park so special. This waterfront park provides diverse opportunities for active and passive recreation - cycling, taking a walk, having a family picnic and more. Indeed, this park has much more to offer. Simply read on to find out more:

1. Perfect for a walk
There are a lot of walking paths for you to enjoy the foreshore walks - overlooking the Sydney skyline and stunning views across Rozelle Bay to the ANZAC bridge.


2. A great place for kids to release their energy
Kids contain a great deal of energy, and so this park will be perfect for them to release their energy. The park contains a large enclosed and shaded playground featuring adventure play equipment including roller slides, sand pits and extensive climbing structures. Additionally, there are also a lot of cycling paths for your children to learn how to ride their bikes or mini-kick scooters, as well as large grassy areas for them to play soccer with their friends.






3. Dog-friendly
While the eastern section including adjoining Pope Paul Reserve is an on-leash area, west of the canal of the park is an off-lease area at all times. As proper dog socialisation is crucial to your dog's emotional health, this park can allow your dog to happily run around to socialise with other dogs as well as adorable kids.


4. A great spot for family picnic
As the park is huge with lots of grassy areas, you can place a picnic rug on the grass. Additionally, toilet facilities, drinking fountains, picnic shelters and BBQ facilities are available to provide further utility and convenience for your family.


5. Easily accessible to the park
The park is well serviced by public transport including bus routes and metro light rail. You can catch a 431 bus from Millers Point to Federal Rpad, Glebe Point. As Bicentennial Park is located on the far end of Glebe Point Road, you can take a light rail and get off from Jubilee Station. Alternatively, there is a car park on Chapman Road North and Chapman Road South and plenty of street parking within easy walk to the park.


6. Read your books or unleash your musical talent
There are benches all around the park, allowing you to immerse yourself in reading a book in a pleasant and quiet location. In my recent visit, interestingly, I saw two boys practising their guitars and singing when they were sitting on the bench. I wouldn't have thought about this but the only limit is your imagination!


7. Continue your exploration in Glebe
Why don't continue with your exploration in Glebe after your visit in the park? There are a lot of interesting shops and cafes lined up on Glebe Point Road.


8. It's free!
Isn't it great that you can get the enjoyment but it costs you nothing; another good reason for you to come over the park for fun and relaxation.
