Nestled at Bicentennial Park on the Esplanade, this small playground has beautiful views. It looks out to the big blue sea on the other side (you can see boats on the sea if you're lucky) and lush beautiful green trees and a lawn on the other side.

This playground doesn't have shade, but the big trees surround it will shield you from Darwin's hot sun. The Esplanade playground only has 1 slippery slide, climbing frame and 2 swings. One swing with back support for the little ones and the other swing is more suitable for bigger children.

The playground has sand underneath and be aware of ants around this playground. But other than that, this small playground can bring lots of fun for children. My daughter also likes to just stomp around on the brown dry leaves that can be found near the playground. Or if you are game enough, you can roll down the hill covered with green grass.

There is picnic table and public toilets are near the playground. The playground is not fenced, so keep an eye on your kids and if you live near the Esplanade, you can take your bike and enjoy the bike path nearby.
