Beyond Winter Blues

There are moments in time, and events, that evoke a variety of responses from us. Winter with its grey skies and rainy days is one of those times that can bring the blues with it for some of us. The one thing to always remember is that there's always sunshine around the corner. The world is massive and wonderful and goes beyond our own private little world. There's a lot we can do, to create that feel of
warmth and forever summer in our psyche.
Beyond Blue is a great place to start when our human soul, mind or spirit is flagging, and we need to have our life force reenter our being. Mental health still has a lot of stigma aka negative stereotype attached to it, especially by the judgemental or those who have a lack of understanding. The first rule of thumb to remember is that having mental health issues is not a mark of disgrace or a reference to the quality of your being.
The Others should never be a barrier to have a complete and satisfying life.
We all need a little, or more than a little help and support, in our lives.
Beyond Blue is a great source of information, helplines, and how to have that conversation tips, to coach you through the tough times. Their
website alone is filled with so much information, even before you access actual help from their organisation. Whatever your age, where ever you live, there's information and support to help everyone in Australia. There are 3 million Australians living with anxiety or depression, so
NEVER be afraid to reach out.
On the other side of the coin, helping others can sometimes be part of the process of getting better and there are many fundraising events near you to get involved in or support. If you have a fundraising event you'd like to promote, you can
list your event on their website .
