Synopsis Jodie is a young girl who has been given a gift of having supernatural powers wherein she can control the environment around her. All she has to do is call out to her inner being - Aiden - to get the job done.
After being handed over to the care of Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Freeman (researchers who work for the Department of Paranormal Activity), Jodie soon enters the CIA framework where she gets the necessary training to become a world-class secret agent. But the thrill does not end there.
Characters There are several characters throughout the game that appear - some of which can have a profound impact on the way the game is played, while others are merely fleeting thoughts. Nonetheless, they are all impressive and compassionate in their own ways.
Jodie The protagonist of the game - she has seen it all, literally: Being a foster child, being homeless, becoming a part of the CIA, fighting terrorism in Somalia, and ultimately finding her true self.
Aiden The entity connected to Jodie - he is one hell of an asset to Jodie's life, and you find out his identity at the very end of the game. He is there to protect Jodie from anything and everything that could potentially harm her.
Prepare to have your mind blown.

Dr. Dawkins takes Jodie into foster care at a research laboratory and tries to understand Aiden better. A recent change in the dynamic of his life changes everyone's worlds...forever.
The game layout is in the form of a timeline- where you jump between different milestones of Jodie's life and uncover her secrets. It's like pieces of a puzzle that you are trying to put together to better understand who Jodie Holmes is, and why she is the way she is.
The mode of playing this game is dependent on the choices you make for Jodie. While not significantly altering the storyline, you do have the opportunity to control some of her life choices, which will ultimately impact the way the game pans out.
The cinematography of this game is absolutely breathtaking. It is very clear, the camera showcases the amazing landscape with varying degrees of contrast, and every single element in the scenes complement each other beautifully.
I have played this game in both single-player and multi-player mode, and I would have to say - the multi-player mode is so much more enjoyable.
In addition to socialising with your partner, you get the opportunity to assess as both - the player, as well as the onlooker. I played Aiden and absolutely loved this role. There isn't much to do when you're Aiden, but when you get the opportunity, it's like you've found your moment to shine!
He may just be an entity who isn't making all the decisions, but he sure is a badass character in itself.
The way the characters move are seamless, and you feel like you've been immersed into the setting without having even tried to do so.
Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe in motion-capture mode
Another very cool aspect of this game is the military sequence of events that Jodie engages in. As one of my primary interests (triggered by my boyfriend's interests in the Army) lies in weapons, action, rescue operations and the general badassery that accompanies working in the Army, I think the developers of this game have sufficiently made Ellen Page's character (Jodie) perfectly fit the role of a girl who has been trained by the CIA - and trained well was she!
Controllers have the vibration feature, for when the characters are being attacked, or Aiden is being summoned.
Can be played in single-player or multi-player (2-player) mode.

I haven't gone into too much detail about the game, fearing I might give away too many spoilers. It's up to you to check it out and see the hidden mysteries that give one a better understanding of Jodie's history and background.
This game has been on top of my list of best games of 2013 - 9.5/10. I would highly recommend you to check it out and play with its multitude of features!
