Along Browning Street in Brisbane's iconic West End is a row of beautiful post war houses in almost original condition. Inside there is a range of beautiful indie businesses including the incredible gift store nook and a fun little coffee house, Betty's Espresso. Inside you will meet Cat, the owner, manager and could-be rockabilly model who meets you warmly and casually chats about her day.

Grab your cup of joe as takeaway or sit down on the comfy couches or on the front porch with a pot of tea and a warm brownie. New flavours of the chocolate cakey treat are available daily with options of Mint Slice, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter and Cookies & Cream Brownies to name a few.

If you love your Vanilla Chai Latte made on Almond Milk then you're in luck as Betty's has a whole range of flavoured syrups and every type of milk you can think of. Her coffees are well known in the area as a perfect brew and her little cafe is often buzzing with takeaway orders. On the morning I was there, it was nice to be part of the casual conversation with Cat and her friendly customers as she whipped up drinks and served up her famous brownies.

Gaze lovingly into the eyes of a giant Brad Pitt poster in the corner as it sits alongside other thrifted and eye-catching finds. There is so much to see here with a quirky, kerbside vibe which is offset by the acid green chalkboard menu and Cat's own unique fashion style behind the counter.

On special occasions, Cat holds little markets out the back of her shop with jewellery, second-hand clothing and lots more handmade goodness to purchase and adore. She also hosts music nights inside the venue with an area reserved for the band and great tunes for dancing in the large 'living room' of the old house.

Betty's is soon hoping to include other fun activities such as craft classes, art shows and anything else which takes Cat's fancy. Watch this space for more amazing goodness to come from a little cafe which has everything going for it.
