The biggest and newest food trend in Perth at the moment is the Whoopie Pie. It's a sweet, spongy, cream filled cakey confection that has taken the city by storm. Looking like a large macaroon, the Whoopie Pie is made of a sponge cake mix, then two pieces are sandwiched together with a butter cream filling.
There are a few places that sell good Whoopie Pies, with all sorts of different flavours such as chocolate with vanilla butter cream and red velvet with butter cream. You have to be quick if you want to try one of these cakey delights as they sell out almost as soon as they hit the shelves.
Now the question is - where are the best Whoopie Pies in Perth?
