Where's the Best Vegan Restaurant in Melbourne?

The popularity of Vegan cafes and restaurants in Melbourne has certainly grown in the last decade.

Vegan dishes are prepared without animal ingredients - typical vegan delights include ratatouille, falafel, rice and beans and lentil soup.

There are many Vegan friendly cafes and restaurants located in and around Melbourne serving various international cuisines.

For example the menu at the vegan friendly Crossways Food For Life is predominately Indian, at Purple Peanuts Cafe, the menu is Japanese inspired and at Red Spice Road , the vegan friendly menu features Thai and Vietnamese influences.

It is a bit tricky to find a specialised Vegan cafe or restaurant in Melbourne, but they do exist. For example Lord of the Fries is perhaps one of the most well known - their menu is vegetarian, kosher and halal, with vegan and gluten free options. The menu over at the The Vegie Bar similarly features some vegan options, as does the menu at Yong Green Food . Lentil As Anything is another popular vegan friendly Melbourne destination.

If you know of a great Vegan cafe or restaurant located in or around Melbourne, please let us know about it by leaving a comment below.

We look forward to your feedback.
