Which train line do you choo-choo-choose?
Brisbane's public transport system isn't exactly world-class. Missing a train actually means something in Brisbane, where (depending on where you are) the next train could be up to an hour away. There are some
surprising public transport high points but generally, navigating this city without a car can be tricky. The suburb I grew up - Wynnum - is on a train line. In fact, Wynnum actually has three train stations. Growing up, I was always within walking distance of a train station, which was wonderful when I was a teenager without a driver's license and very handy when I was a commuting City worker. I love our Brisbane trains. But which train line is the best?
A crucial aspect of any train line is its frequency and reliability. Passengers depend on regular and punctual services to reach their destinations promptly. For this reason, the Ferny Grove line stands out. This line has a high frequency of trains, which lessens the risk of waiting and delays for passengers.
Another key factor in evaluating a train line's quality is its accessibility and connectivity with other modes of transportation. The Beenleigh line performs well in this aspect. Connecting the CBD to the southern suburbs, the Beenleigh line offers connectivity to major hubs and intersects with various bus routes.
For those seeking not only reliable transportation but also scenic beauty, the Shorncliffe line emerges as a top contender. This train line runs along the picturesque coastline of Moreton Bay, offering stunning views of the water and the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing sea breeze during the journey.
As you can see, the concept of 'best' is difficult when applied to QR trains, with different passengers wanting different things. What do you think? Tells us how you like to roll in the comments below.
