There is plenty to see and do at Williamstown
According to Wikipedia, Williamstown is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 8 km south-west from Melbourne's central business district. Its Local Government Area is the City of Hobsons Bay and according to the 2011 Census, Williamstown has a population of 13,203.

Just thought I'd give you a little background information on Williamstown.

A few weekends ago, I spent the day at Williamstown. I spent half of the day by the beach and then at the park. So I have decided to share with WeekendNotes some of things you can do and see around Williamstown.

Williamstown Beach

Williamstown Beach is located not too far from Williamstown train station. The beach is perfect for swimming, or relaxing on the sand by the water.

Fish 'n' Chips

There are plenty of places you can get Fish 'n' Chips from at Williamstown. Whenever I go to Williamstown, I always get Fish 'n' Chips from The Town Fryer. Their Fish 'n' Chips are really good.

The Town Fryer is located on 126 Nelson Place. Only a 16 minuet walk from Williamstown Beach. We drove to it, which was only a 5 minute drive.

Commonwealth Reserve Park

Across the road from The Town Fryer is a beautiful park, with plenty of shade, grass and a play ground for the kids. The park over looks the pier, ocean and a range of boats. This is where we choose to eat our Fish 'n' Chips.

Ice Cream

You can't miss out on going for ice cream at Williamstown, with so many different shops serving so many different flavours. We decided to try Capriccio Gelato.

Located on 171 Nelson Place. This place had so many different flavours to choose from.
