This can mean any salad, whether it is a Greek salad or fruit salad - these are two pretty strong businesses that serve quality salads in Melbourne.

The favourite would definitely have to be Cultured Salad on Collins. Their fruit salad is just divine with beautiful fresh fruits. Love the mango pieces immersed with the blueberries and strawberries. Serving sizes are quite generous with great and fast customer service. You will find this establishment in the Australia on Collins complex. Really the berries are just amazing, and it is fine whether you want to have it with their yummy yoghurt or not. Still divine anyway regardless of the season.

If you are into quality salad ingredients such as chickpeas with freshly cooked meat, eggs and gourmet tomatoes to name, and you want to enjoy some low GI options, then Sumo Salad at Galleria on Bourke Street is just sensational. They do not overdo it on the lettuce, and they are quite generous with the meat than their QV Centre counterpart. This establishment gets extremely popular at lunchtime, and you will begin to understand why once you have tucked into their favourite salad ranges which include yummy pumpkin and fetta.

Salad is really not much in vogue here in Melbourne as it generally is in Sydney, although it might begin to catch on with summer fast approaching. We just need more quality salad establishments. Bon Appétit.
