There are plenty of great place to eat and in Perth. Here are your best 'south of the river' options.

**Left Bank, 15 Riverside Road East Fremantle, 9319 1116

Open Mon to Saturday 7am to late and Sunday 7am to 10pm**

The Left Bank is a beautiful old brick building close to the water's edge. It's a bar, a café and a restaurant. Downstairs your options are casual, pub favourites like chicken parmigiana, beer-battered fish and chips and burgers; upstairs (great views or the river) the menu has South East Asian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences. There's also a range of seafood and some creative vego options.

The Left Bank is somewhere you can go with or without the kids. If you are going to take them, maybe go on Tuesday night because they'll eat free and take part in special activities. Click here for more.

**Little Creatures, 40 Mews Road Fremantle, 9430 5555
brewery / pub food / kids's play area / water views / chilled vibe

For the love of beer, check out Little Creatures in Freo. It's an old boatshed right on the water that's now a bar and restaurant and usually always busy. So what's on the menu (besides lots and lots of different types of beer)? Well, think rustic style pizzas, big fat pub chips, and tapas.

Kids will have a fun time too (provided it's sunny) because there's an outdoor sandpit and toys, and the big kids might want to join a brewery tour. They run at 1, 2 and 3pm daily. Click here for more.

kid's play area / Japanese meets Korean / dine in or takeaway / licensed & byo

Ninniku means garlic in Japanese and Jip means house in Korean, so this fusion restaurant is Victoria Park's own little garlic house. It's a great casual spot with an eclectic menu including plenty of sizzling meals, teriyaki flavours, and the five-chilli hot Fire Chicken. The kids can eat Asian too, or go the classic nuggets and chips. But they won't be at the table long because there's an indoor play area with a slide for the younger ones and x-box for the older ones, all behind glass. Relax, enjoy your food, and watch the kids from your seat. They do takeaway too. Click here for more.
