Capture that special moment in your child's life sitting on Santa's knee in a spectacular setting, before he or she is all grown up. The little ones will have a lot to smile about on these outings and you'll have a memorable experience.

QVB Enchanted Garden

The Queen Victoria Building next to Town Hall is amazing in itself with it architecture and shopping but Santa's enchanted garden will leave you in awe. A whimsical overgrown secret garden will shine with twinkling lights, flowers, birds and characters that surprise and charm.

Santa will be there every day on level 2 from 11am to 4pm, from now to 24 December. Packages start from $30 for the Gem Package and go up to $65 for the Ultimate Santa's Gift Pack. You can book online and prepay at

Whilst you're in the building, take a look at the Swarovski Christmas tree to further leave you in awe. It stands 24 metres tall under the building's dome and will be dripping with crystals and a huge crystal studded star on top. At the trunk will be glass panels filled with strands of crystal, stars and mirrors. This magical elegance can be viewed every day from 9am to 6pm, now to 2 January.

Magic Cave at David Jones

In the Elizabeth St store you'll find Santa's Magic Cave where you can pick your own Christmas scene with green screen technology, have your photo with Santa and get it saved on DVD.

This enchanted world is located in the Toy Department on level 6. More detail of dates, times and booking here.

Christmas in the Sky at Sydney's iconic tower may well be the closest to the North Pole you will experience from down under. At 250 metres high, the Observation Deck will be transformed into Santa's grotto.

Jingle all the way to the top and share Christmas wishes with Santa surrounded by a fireplace, some festive music and a Christmas tree, of course.

The best part of this is Santa photos are free for all kids, and don't forget the fabulous views of Sydney. This is all happening weekdays 4pm to 7pm and weekends 11am to 6pm starting 28 November and finishing 24 December.

Santa Ferries

Enjoy a leisurely trip on selected Sydney ferry routes from Circular Quay and snap a selfie with Santa. Use your smartphone to post it on Instagram and tag it using #sydxmas and #beyondthewharf. The live Instagram printer will print a high quality Polaroid-style photo in seconds. Photos are free. All you pay is your ferry ride.

Use the harbour as your backdrop to capture your special moment. Santa's elves will also be on board for further colour and fun.

Luna Park

Luna Park Sydney Santa experience

Santa is on his way to help make a classic photo for you with a background of the Bridge and Sydney's stunning harbour. An ultimate package for just $29.95 includes 7 prints of various sizes, a collective presentation card and a digital download of your photo.

Appearing daily on the boardwalk, with weather permitting, from 30 November to 24 December at 11am to 12.30pm and again at 1pm to 2pm, capture this Santa experience along with free entry to Luna Park.


Santa Spectacular at Rosehill Racecourse Gardens

Venturing west out of the city, a winter wonderland has been created with Santa's enchanted forest walk where snow falls daily, you can meet Santa, take a pic and get a free gift. This is part of a huge event that includes free activities, such as making reindeer masks and other craft projects. Story time with a Christmas fairy, thousands of Christmas lights and a North Pole experience all make for an amazing time.

Sydney Santa Spectacular Rosehill Racecourse

Wait there's more - Snow World ice skating, snowman building, amusement rides, gingerbread decorating, Australia's only double decker carousel, a toboggan snow slip and slide, Santa's express train, roaming characters and circus stage entertainment. Wow that's lots of fun to be had.

You won't go hungry or thirsty either, with food and beverage stalls available in the Santa Food Village. Everything from savoury to sweet with tasty meats, cheeses, cupcakes, chocolates and pastries on offer to entice you. Alcohol also at your disposal.

An affordable flat entry ticket for a 3hr session includes parking and comes at a cost of $40 per adult and $35 per child (2-16yrs). Under 2yrs free. Family passes can also be purchased.

Santa at Westfield Bondi Junction in the mornings on weekdays is incredible. He is great with the kids and adults alike, and very jolly.
