1: Full Moon Hotel
Dearly one of my favourites and I have eaten here several times for breakfast with friends. It has always been good and consistent. This hotel offers vegetarian selections and the usual standard of bacon and eggs. And, as one of those fussy people that when/if I have bacon, it must be crispy and tasty and this is what I get here at the Full Moon Hotel.

The vegetarian omelette with spinach and the avocado on toast are also delicious and almost close to perfect.

This place has views, food and location, with the views from the front of the hotel looking out towards the water. Therefore, what more could you want on the menu.

2: The Coffee Club
To start with, you know what you are getting at these 'clubs' with the standard usually consistent. Some of these franchises are however often better than others and the one here at Sandgate is one of the good ones. Although the Coffee Club is not on the waterfront, it is in the heart of town and is a comfortable place to 'hang out' whether you sit indoors or outdoors" . (either place is good for watching the local life pass you by)

With the Coffee Club located close to Sandgate train station, if you don't live around the area you can easily catch a train out and walk a few meters to get here. Breakfast can be ordered anytime of the day as with most Coffee Clubs. While you can order the full complete breakfast, I must say I really enjoy the cinnamon toast that the Coffee Club serves

3: Dougs
Known primarily for its ' Fish and Chips' on the strip of the Sandgate waterfront, Dougs is surprisingly good for breakfast as well. Serving up great coffee, the breakfast combinations on offer include choices such as simple raison toast, baked beans on toast and of course your bacon and eggs with a little bit more.

While Doug's is a nice casual spot to have breakfast the prices are also very good. The seated areas are outside and enclosed with drop down plastic covers to protect you from any 'wild' breezes, allowing you to eat in calm while still enjoying views of the Sandgate waterfront.
