There are a number of ways to ring in the New Year in Brisbane. The main attraction of the evening will be South Bank and of course the Brisbane River.

Streets Beach , Clem Jones Promenade, Little Stanley Street will be the site of various live music performances, while Suncorp Piazza will be the site of an all ages dance party and Cultural Forecourt, will become a pop up fairground.

There are several ways to see the midnight fireworks display on New Year's Eve in Brisbane. For example you can wine and dine in one of the various bars, cafes or restaurants at Portside Wharf . New Year's Eve celebrations here include a Fire and Ice themed event at Byblos , live entertainment at Gusto da Gianni and a special New Year's Eve menu at Year27s Eve Restaurant Manx.



Another way to take in the sights and sounds of the 2011 New Year's Eve celebrations is to take to the Brisbane River . Board a vessel with Kookaburra Queen Paddlesteamer Cruises and enjoy the midnight fireworks display aboard one of Brisbane's biggest vessels.

For more of a party atmosphere, head to Friday's Bar Restaurant Club for their 2011 I'm Sexy And I Know It NYE event . Other special New Year's Eve party events include Deadly Sins New Years Eve at Moda Events Portside, the Summer Nights NYE Ball at Riverlife Adventure Centre and the New Years Eve Arabian Nights event at Watt Restaurant and Bar.
