taste of sydney table tennis
Table Tennis fun in the least expected place. What a thrill.

Since the revamp of Sydney's Darling Park, table tennis (particularly of the outdoor variety fame) in Sydney has started to take on a world of its own. Speaking of which, in answering this question, the concrete table tennis tables make way for a fantastic table tennis experience with an abundance of activity right around you. The latter is popular with families, and makes way for a great kid-friendly table tennis experience with a uniquely different tennis net. One that barely moves. Being outdoor based, playing would not be that much fun in the rain or during windy conditions.

Otherwise an annual food festival provides some unexpected table tennis fun. Pity the annual Taste of Sydney event only comes around once a year. The table tennis tables are free to use at this event. You could be right near a chic pop-up cocktail bar, and have a few hits of table tennis with your mates. This was popular more so amongst teenagers, yet many adults also joined in on the fun.

Otherwise any of the PCYC clubs around Sydney provide similar and great table tennis playing facilities to the type you would find at Taste of Sydney. The table tennis courts at the Glebe PCYC table tennis playing facilities are great. Fancy a game of table tennis after an hour's exposure to karate, or spending a bit of time lifting weights? Go for it. There is plenty of space to play and move around in. Who would have thought that a round of table tennis would have become so fashionable in Sydney. As you might also be aware, table tennis is otherwise known as ping pong. Forrest Gump also made this sport rather fashionable in a one hit movie. You don't have to be an elite athlete to enjoy. It is easier to hire out some table tennis space in Sydney than it is to hire out an entire tennis court.

A great way to pretend you're playing a round of tennis in the cooler months. Now it's your turn: where is the best place to play table tennis in Sydney and why is it so great? Awesome.
