Perhaps I've not discovered them all but there seems to be limited art and craft physical shops around Sydney. Although there are endless options of buying supplies online, sometimes it is better to examine the items before purchasing them especially those that cost more. As an amateur art and craft hobbyist, I'm often on the lookout for affordable craft supplies stores around Sydney.
Riot Art & Craft offers a huge range of craft supplies for wood craft, candle making, scrapbooking, beading and sewing. You can find specific tools for certain types of crafts here such as embossing heat gun which is used for paper embossing in handmade card or scrapbook. 2. Daiso Japan Most of the products here are made in Japan. Everything in this store regardless big or small, is priced only at $2.80 per item. Although Daiso Japan is not specialized in carrying art & craft supplies, it is still a great option to shop for accessories for craft work such as felt, ribbons, origami paper, coloured wrapping paper, and Japanese washi tapes. 3. Eckersley's Art & Craft With Eckersley's, you can either walk-in to its shops in various locations or buy online. Albeit the price here is slightly more expensive, it offers quality products from well-known brands like Jasart and Kaisercraft. 4. Dollar King The art and stationery section at Dollar King offers some decent craft supplies if you are looking for something thrifty such as popsicle sticks, glittery powder / glue, foam, and many more. Have you tried Alice in Paperland in Rydalmere? There's 450sq/m of scrapbooking, cardmaking and invitation supplies. They also have oodles of embellishments and ribbons. It's a one stop shop and the prices are excellent as it's a factory outlet.
Nowra on the south coast and Mogo south coast have the two best scrapbooking shops I have ever been in its a long way to go but well worth it, they had stuff i have never seen before Nowra has lots of wonderfull papers and Mogo was combined art and scrapbooking lots of lovely stamps ! so if your ever on a trip down south look up both and take your money with you as your going to be spending a bit lol
