Who doesn't love pizza? It is a delicious meal that you can share with every generation - your kids, your partner, your grandparents and you can even eat the whole pizza on your own! If you are looking for a good pizza joint around the Nelson Bay region, then you have a number of choices in town, as well as in the surrounding suburbs. If you are staying in the heart of town, then take a walk along Magnus Street and try Sienna's Pizzeria Bar and Restaurant or Nigroni's . If you are staying up near Soldiers Point, then you can't go past Cartel Pizza Co takeaway joint, for piping hot pizzas to take back to your hotel or home.

Shoal Bay Country Club is a popular venue in the region, with stunning views over Shoal Bay from the rooftop, cocktails, fresh seafood, late night DJs and activities on Sundays for the kids. When you walk upstairs to the top level, you are greeted with a light and airy restaurant with sweeping views and a relaxed, beach vibe with music playing softly in the background. There is also a wood-fired pizza oven inside and over 10 tasty flavour combinations on the menu . Murray's Brewery, located out of town at Bobs Farm, rivals Shoal Bay Country Club as one of the most popular venues in the area. This family-friendly venue has a big outdoor beer garden, grass to run around on and one of the best pizza menus in town. Feast on your yummy pizza whilst pairing it with a cold beverage from their range. See here for details.



Wests Nelson Bay, located near Little Beach, have flavoursome pizzas in their Bay Diner, which is located on the ground floor of the club. There are over 12 pizzas to choose from, which you can eat there or take away and enjoy at home. See here for details.

The Wood Oven is a scenic venue, located a short walk from Nelson Bay shops at the d'Albora Marinas. It can be found upstairs at the marina, overlooking the main tourist hub. You can smell the restaurant before you get there, with delicious pizza smells emanating from the plume on the roof. Choose from a long list of traditional and gourmet pizzas from the menu . Also look out for the $10 lunch special, which is perfect for one. You can dine in at the casual eatery or take your pizza to the Nelson Bay Foreshore and sit at a picnic table. As well as these venues, there are also smaller takeaway shops around the region to give a try. Often your local shops have the best takeaway options, with friendly locals who will remember you from one visit to the next. Also try out the local clubs, who offer one or two pizza options on their menu, such as Soldiers Point Bowling Club and Nelson Bay Golf Club (lunch menu).
