When I moved to Australia it was a top priority for me to find organic food stores and cafés for me and my family. Shifting to 100% organic has not been easy but we are getting there. It really helps when you have great stores and cafés around you.

Finding out where your produce comes from and buying organic is responsible buying. Someone once said to me that every time you buy something - you are making a choice about the way you want the world to be.

Getting into organic produce is a great way to promote sustainable business and lifestyles whilst putting your families health at the fore of your buying decisions.

Prioritising organic food daily, protecting our family (where possible) from pesticides and other harmful chemicals makes sense to us as a family.

Here are my top three organic places in Bayside that are awesome and you can trust for the best in organic produce. Each of these places has its own highlight and they complement each other well to provide a comprehensive range of organic products for healthy minded customers.

1. Holy Bowly Cafe , Hampton Street

'Holy Bowly is about healthy, clean, honest, refreshing, grab and go food. ' it says on the website, but it is that and much, much, more! It has a funky young energetic vibe with modern decor and customers of all types enjoying the market fresh organic treats - whether they be juices, soups, raw food treats or dippy eggs with soldiers! They are introducing Bayside to modern, real organic superfood in such a funky way that I can see there will be a ripple effect!

2. Cheltenham Organic Store (COS), Reserve Road

'We're different, we're goodness, we're tasty, we're fresh, we're organic,'

As you walk into cos organic store it has the look and feel of an intimate grocers store, but as you wander the shop and take in the products on the shelves it is clear it is so much more that a grocery store. The product range is diverse; there is a lovely cafe and they even do a range of organic beers and cider. This store is super fab and I would highly recommend it for both fresh and dry organic produce. Their beauty and healthcare products are extensive and I even managed to pick myself up a tongue scraper for my Ayurvedic daily routine!

3. The Organic Merchant, Cheltenham

'Providing you with the finest selection of organic health food, products and clinic services for you health and well-being in the local Bayside community'

This store has a super modern clean vibe to it. It is the modern organic store with no sign or sense of an old health food store - it's bright - alluring and interesting. It's range of health products is second to none along with its fresh selection of cakes and coffees and lovely laid back sophisticated feel. This shop is also a clinic and looks to have a lot going on in store with naturopath sessions - can't wait to get myself along to check it out in more detail! On the day of my visit I picked up some info on Emma organics, bought some great tasting biodynamic milk and my trusty store cupboard favourite - Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar.
