Masonic Charity Outlet (MCO) 1291 Albany Highway, Cannington (corner of Kent Street) is a lovely Op-Shop, with friendly staff, well laid out store and great prices! They also have another smaller shop at 664 Beaufort Street, Mt Lawley where they sell designer clothing and accessories, jewellery, collectables and much more. Pay them a visit - it's well worthwhile!
The Op shop was once a source of tat. Old things that were sometimes broken, torn, just plain worn down, corroded, unusual. They provided material for people of artistic bent who were able to turn rust, any fabrics of natural materials, unfinished work, lots of things that we happily turned into something newly created again. I morn the loss of my Saturday morning forage to these often dimly lit and overflowing arks of ancient pieces.
Salvo's and Vinnies on Albany Highway opposite Save the Children Fund all great, plenty of room to walk around and all located close to,one another in Cannington. Westfield shopping Centre is close too.
