Op shop addicts fill me in
We are pretty lucky this side of the Bay when it comes to op shopping, especially in and around Frankston. We have so many op shops from independant op shops to chains of well known stores.
Here's a few worth visiting but I'd love to know which are your favourites. I know some people like larger stores that are well organised and some prefer a good rummage. I'm a big fan of them all, so can never decide.
Carrum Uniting Church is a hidden gem and can be found just next door to Aldi. It's small but normally packed with bargains and so cheap.
Salvation Army Thrift Shop This place always delivers for me and the volunteers are beautiful. It even has a small secure play space for the little ones to have a run around when you're done shopping. It's just by KFC 1265 Frankston – Dandenong Road, Carrum Downs (03) 9775 1915 Opening Hours – Monday – Friday 9.30AM - 2.30PM
Vinnies It's a great big store with a great range of goods and normally lots of furniture. 5/2 Amayla Crescent, Carrum Downs (03) 9776 4691 Opening Hours – Monday – Saturday – 9AM – 5PM and Sunday 10AM - 4PM
Another big store with plenty of choice, beautiful displays too!
5/2 Amayla Cres, Carrum Downs (03) 9776 4691
Opening Hours - Monday to Saturday 9AM - 5PM
Avocare- A book lover's delight!! It's fairly new compared to some op shops and well worth a visit as it has great prices and supports a local charity which does so much in the area.
95 Hartnett Drive, Seaford (03) 9782 5772
Opening Hours – Monday – Friday 9AM – 4PM
IMHS Op Shop
Set up by a local lady, this charity not only supports the local community in many ways but it raises funds for schools in Shi Lanka. The added bonus is it's open 7 days a week!!
51 Kareela Road, Frankston 0450 210 404
Opening Hours – 7 days 9.30AM – 4.30PM
