The Best of the Independent Games Festival at ACMI triggers all of the above. As soon as you walk through the door you are transported into different realms through 14 international, award winning video games. The festival which occurs annually, promotes innovation in game development through recognising and displaying the best work of game designers from all parts of the globe. Games vary from the fast and furious sword game Nidhogg to the more chilled out Bohm where the aim is to grow your own tree. Whether you are a dabbler or a die hard video gaming fan the festival is a great way to challenge your perception and experiences of gaming.
The Best of the International Games Festival is open daily from 10am - 6pm in Gallery 2 at ACMI until the 25th of March 2012. Admission is free.
