As part of the festival program for the anticipated Graphic: A Weekend of Graphic Storytelling, Animation and Music event, which will be held from August 20th to 21st, the Sydney Opera House is currently hosting The Best of the Independent Games Festival (IGF), which will run until August 21st. This is a free exhibition presented by the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.

Held in the Western Foyers of the prestigious Sydney Opera House, you can view and play some of the most innovative games to have premièred at the Independent Games Festival, which is an annual festival at the Game Developers Conference. The Independent Games Festival, which was founded in 1998, has awarded a diverse range of independent games over the past thirteen years - celebrated titles have included Minecraft, Aquaria, Tread Marks, Castle Crashers, Darwinia, Shattered Galaxy, Limbo and many more.

If you are a fan of gaming, you will certainly enjoy this interactive exhibition. You can admire the creativity and artistic value of each presented video game, and equally see the developments in technology over the past thirteen years. The exhibition will close on August 21st - so if you decide to visit a special event during Graphic, you can make your way to see this exhibition on the weekend of August 20th and 21st, or avoid the crowds and see it today.
